Introduction 

Hello and Welcome to The Silverlining Infertility and Miscarriage Support Group. I would firstly like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our site, we really do appreciate all visitors taking time to read our articles and information.

We are finally back online after a long break, mainly due to the fact that we decided to relaunch our site and give it a good old spring clean, so thanks for bearing with us with that.

I do hope that you find our site helpful and if there are any questions you may have please do not hesitate to email us as dannie@silverlininginfertilitysupport.co.uk if we can't answer your question we will aim to put you in contact with somebody who can help you out.

If you are just starting your journey on that rollercoaster ride of infertility issues or if you have been with us sometime please do not forget that you are not alone. It can be a very hard time both physically and mentally on both partners and it can help a great deal having a supportive network of friends and family and also groups like this if you need to chat to somebody who has been through a similar issue.

I'd now like to write just a brief insight to all the newcomers who are visiting us, my name is Dannie and I decided in 2002 that I would like to start a web based support group to all those with fertility problems and also those who have suffered a miscarriage. My main reason for wanting to do this was during our journey to have a baby we found out that it isn't always the case that you can easily get pregnant and sometimes you need some additional help in conceiving. We are now into our 5th year of trying for our miracle baby and are hoping to start another cycle of IVF in the near future. It has been a while but we didn't feel ready to try after our 1st cycle of treatment ended in us having a miscarriage at six and a half weeks, we needed the time to both grieve for our baby and also to heal physically and emotionally so we took a year out of any treatment etc.

It has been and still is a difficult time but knowing we have the extra help from some amazing people makes all the difference to us and keeps our spirits up when we start to fall.

We are a non-profit group and run this site with our own pennies but if we can help just one person then that will mean the world to us.
